you'll never know friends like these

more boxes
oh god, i woke up ready to blog about 3 tiny things and then everything happened and now i'm a bit flustered and it's late so forgive the mess that is my head/this post. it's always the same - i have no inspiration and get too anxious about posting something shit then i have too many things to talk about and get anxious that my post will be a mess and a rambling stream of consciousness. somewhere deep down, i already know that you guys expect one or the other so that's a silver lining if ever there was one.

the unbreakable lotus in me

book is planned just not written
this gloomy wednesday marks the end of my time off work but, hands held high, i'm actually excited to go back tomorrow. three busy days is enough for me and i just want to give everyone in nursery a cuddle now. today i decided not to stress too much about replying to emails or writing my novel (seriously, so far behind now. this thing will never get written) and opted for an impromptu tattoo because what's better than having your skin scarred and then slapped by 1 year olds 24 hours later?

take my breath and never let it go

this is called a "champion bouquet"!!
yeah maybe your long distance boyfriend is sending you flowers but my saint of a mother bought me my very own bouquet today so i think we know who's won this round, don't we? it's been a funny old day - long and exhausting - but not a bad one. not by a long shot. but that doesn't mean i'm prepped and ready to churn out 1000 words on what to do when you're feeling like you want to cut all of your hair off. instead, i'm here today to tell you about a song i think is really good. and that's all.

a little loving like valium

zooey deschanel and tyler oakley
did you know that a group of toads is called a "knot"? now that i've got your attention, we can talk about something more interesting like flowers or music. either way, it's late again (sorry) and i'm really fucking chuffed this week is finally over. granted, i've not been paid yet so my outgoings will have to worry me for another week but i feel genuinely excited that tomorrow is saturday. and you know what? today wasn't actually that bad at all.

born with a void heart to destroy

wedding flowers because sadness
i have absolutely no desire to blog anything even relatively positive today but i'm going to try my best to throw something together that is vaguely readable. i promise nothing though: today has been such a struggle that the second i came home, i poured myself a mixing bowl full of three different cereals. maybe my only good decision of the day but it was a solid 8/10 until i end up shitting myself later. i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. for now, i'll just listen to katy perry and hope happiness falls into place.

and this house just ain't no home

WHAT WILL THIS BECOME?
what with my mood plummeting after a second day of sickness and my overdue (now impending) meltdown on the horizon, i thought it best to get off of my pathetic ass (again, metaphorical not literal. well i am a slim white man so literally too fyi) and try to do something. here's some advice: if you're still really ill, don't try to do anything. it's really awful and can make you feel impossibly worse. take heed of my ellie goulding bicep tattoo: "every fire is a lesson learned" and BOY do i have some internal burns from an ikea trip with mon pere (no hard feelings gary)

who cares baby? i think i wanna marry you

wedding foliage! yes!
i'm writing about something which happened at 4am sunday morning but through the magic of the internet, it's telling me i wrote it at 9am saturday. incorrect. either way, it's been a hectic week off but ended on a high with a frankly fucking fantastic wedding. it was a real challenge to immerse myself in such an unfamiliar social situation (if i had to guesstimate, i'd say i knew about 6% of the people there) but it's important to do things that put your out of your comfort zone. the only way is up.

RIP to the girl you used to see

before the death LOOK a raspberry
god, what a fucking stinker of a day. work was shit, i had a phonecall that lasted an hour which sapped every ounce of emotion from my hollow shell and joan rivers is still dead. it's not been a great few days but d:ream told me that things can only get better so here's hoping, eh? i don't have much else to talk about without using this post to vent every trickle of fury i have inside of me today so instead we'll talk about dead people because that might make us feel better about life. okay? okay.
