start over

such a wise calendar
we made it. happy 2015 mothafuckaz. i don't know about you but it was lovely to see the wanker of a year out with my favourite people last night - we had a weird four way kiss at midnight and saw in this new year with some questionable singing and dancing. either way, i'm here today to talk to you about something sort of serious but, after all, this is "oh, mitch please!" so it's probably not going to be anything too drastic really is it?

one more sleep

thank you nursery xo
that's right. christmas eve is finally here so we all know what tomorrow brings!!!?! awkward conversation, unrealistic expectations, underwhelming gifts and oversized jumpers lol jk i think it brings the break we all really need. i was lucky enough to score a half day at work today and, even though i took down all the decorations ready for our 2015 return, it was a nice end to my year there. but now i'm home with a nap under my belt, things are all a bit different.

& i want to thank you

i'm so thankful for you guys xo
i think it's thanksgiving. is it thanksgiving? let's all take some time to google it. DON'T WORRY I'VE DONE IT NOW and yes, it really is thanksgiving. am i american? no, not at all. but i quite like the idea of this holiday - being positive and eating loads. it's sort of like a pre-christmas bash and that's definitely okay with me because it means we can talk about festivities and all you fucking scrooges can't be hating on it because obama tells me it's okay. obama though, what a man. shall we take a moment?

it's okay not to be okay

genuine warning: this particular blog isn't your regular tongue-in-cheek saturday lol-fest that you've come to expect. things have happened over the past few days (/months) which have instilled me with a sense of pride and confidence and, because of that, today's post won't riddled with rude words and irreverent comedy. instead, it's an all too realistic look back at why this blog is the way it is. it's what i've wanted to say for so long but haven't had the courage to. it's the honest truth.

who cares baby? i think i wanna marry you

wedding foliage! yes!
i'm writing about something which happened at 4am sunday morning but through the magic of the internet, it's telling me i wrote it at 9am saturday. incorrect. either way, it's been a hectic week off but ended on a high with a frankly fucking fantastic wedding. it was a real challenge to immerse myself in such an unfamiliar social situation (if i had to guesstimate, i'd say i knew about 6% of the people there) but it's important to do things that put your out of your comfort zone. the only way is up.

with friends like these

this is me and rach, she's divine
today is sunday which means it's god's day which means it's the day of rest which means you can get away with doing shag all. and that's exactly what i intended to do. i went out last night with some friends and had a gay old time but cut to a 7am impromptu panic wake up, an 11am formal request to get out of bed and a midday arrival of some family friends. not the kind of sunday i had planned but in the end, it turned out to be a lovely little day.

go shawty, it's your birthday

this is something i made
it's my mum's birthday today! and what a lovely day it is. sunny, happy, friendly etc. we've got some family coming over which will be nice (even if i will spend most of the time hiding in my room away from awkward conversations about how much poo i touch every day and how i'm getting on after my tremendous break up and consequent meltdown) and i get to spoil my favourite lady on earth.
