with nothing but your t-shirt on

we did it all! (stolen from k. wright)
so these past few days have been emo central but i'm more than determined to find something positive in the mess that is my life right now. today, instead of doing my usual "god things are dire" piece, i decided to sort some fun and lovely things to do. namely, shop and eat which, as you'll know, are two of my favourite things of all time. i'm here today to tell you all about t-shirts and burgers and i don't know about you but that sounds like an ideal friday night to me.

we'll start with a brief "what the fuck have you bought?" before moving swiftly on.

i don't own enough purple
i work in the "nice" part of bristol which means the charity shops are riddled with hidden bargains. myself and lauren (hello petal) hadn't been in far too long so when we arrived and everything was new, we didn't know what to do with ourselves. amongst the endless tatter, there really were a few stand out pieces - namely the whole men's clothes section which had been formed entirely by a penguin addicts chronic donations. fine by me because i snapped this little fucker up for less than £2. what a find, right?

falafel, sweet potato, chipotle, joy
told you it was brief. "what the fuck is that like?"

after work, i casually waltzed to primark in the rain and bought myself some well overdue sweater vests. i've missed dressing like a gay librarian and i figure it's a very autumnal look so that's alright. afterwards, i met my holy trinity in giraffe and we all sat down for some water (no booze? we're 23, there really must be something wrong) and lovely food. between us it was a success - the dishes were great but the company was what really made my night. even after another tough day, being around people who care about you and, more importantly, you care about is wonderful. naturally lasting friendships like this don't come around often so make sure you let those kind of people know exactly how important they are to you. go on, text them now. it's okay, i can wait.

i'm not doing a song today because a) i do them too often OVERKILL and b) there's lots of exciting new music being released on monday, namely from ella henderson (debut of the year probably), jessie j (questionable third album) and jessie ware (inevitably another masterpiece) so next week will be full of sad songs to compliment my manic moods. i hope your bodies are ready xo
