we built this love and we made it our empire

CLUE (also this cluster costs £3500)
rather unceremoniously, my mood has been very caustic since my big bridge-gate blog. i've been a right old pissy bitch, cancelling plans and not sleeping enough on the regular. so when i was faced with a depressed introvert's worst nightmare (seeing an old friend) i was not buzzing. but actually, as it turned out, we dipped our little feet into the pool/sea of spontaneity and it worked entirely in our favour in the sense that we had the best day of 2014 so far. there's loads of pictures to come too, so that's something to look forward to.

"what the fuck are you so happy about?

ruby george is a wonderful friend of mine that i met back in university. we clicked straight away and she adopted me into her friendship group. no need for more back story because there's too much to write about but what i'm trying to say is that she's wonderful, i don't see her enough and i love her.

good on you, glasto
we arranged a date a few days back and she rocked up today but the both of us were planless. she mentioned something about tarot cards, kfc and glastonbury. the rest, as they say, is history. we were off, racing down b-roads and poorly signposted cities, making our way to the land of festivals. quicker than we thought, we had been thrown twenty years into the past - surrounded by lots of crystals, incense and fortune tellers with a sense of humour. when in rome, right?

ying & yang catering for bunny lovers
"ying and yang" booked us both in for fifteen minutes with "teagan" who turned out to be a babe. she read our runes and, rather terrifyingly, hit both nails directly on the head. apparently i'm psychic who needs to reconnect with crystals and divinity. who knew? we had a little walk around the high street and then, after buying an emergency rather delightful £5 thick knit cardigan, decided to do the "glastonbury tor" walk because we were surrounded by 40 year old people so best to act like them too, eh?

we bought some crystals and mood rings because we didn't feel enough like wanker tourists to justify a walk. visiting glastonbury's cheapest bakery was a good shout because those flapjacks gave us some gusto. after some hassle moving the car and even more hassle finding a parking space that didn't threaten to have us fined or towed, we finally ended up on our way to glastonbury tor. not to be confused with glastonbury tour. those are two very different things as i found out this evening.

we made it! top of the world
that tiny tower is where we went
the walk was intense but it was something really special. we sat down, battered by the winds, and had the heartiest of heart to hearts. it was a real "wow look at the world, we are so tiny and insignificant and yet these worries feel like the end of the world" kind of moment.

totally worth it

it was a day i won't be forgetting for a really fucking long time xo
