it's a nice place ah shaddap your face

more love for everyone
after a long hard day of writing more letters and finishing off nursery work (during my week off, why do i torture myself?) i thought that dinner with a friend would be lovely. so i raced to a very "boho" part of bristol town, met one of my favourites (hello angel features) and dined with her. the first place was too meaty (careful) and very clammy so we made our way to "rocco's" which i've always seen but never entered. i've never been so happy to enter something in my life. well i have but that's another story (sorry nan)

i bet you're desperate to know "what the fuck is that like?"

italian cuisine is probably my favourite. it's got chicken, it's got pasta, it's got spice, it's got amazing desserts - it's got all the ingredients for happiness. i'm pretty sure "rocco's" is a little family run restaurant but either way we sat down and an older gent, the lovely charles, came and gave us some water in one of those fancy pop lid jars and a vase with a real rose in it. a real one! i wish i took a picture but i didn't so let's move on really quickly.

we shared a parma ham and cheese starter then loz opted for the cannelloni and i slaughtered the italian name for spicy pasta and chorizo. everything was divine. we topped it off with a san pellegrino which always goes down smooth. again, no pictures sorry. we were too engrossed in wonderful conversation about being in love with one another. we were the only people in the quaint little joint so we felt like proper VIPS. the staff were friendly and the service was swift. tick tick tick tick all night long.

oh dear :( ::( :(
really unrelated sidenote: i'm on the lookout for a cute address book. it's an adult purchase and one i'm really excited about. we went to the newsagents opposite on the off chance but instead stumbled across this suspect dog food. what the fuck are the chunks made of? (we researched and it turns out it's "4% animal derivative"... no thank you)

regardless. lovely food, lovely night, lovely company.
