happy moving out day alice xo |
i have little to no motivation to work this post from a unmemorable mess to a well thought out piece so let's get straight down to "what the fuck have you bought?"
i bought this book on healing foods. it sounded a lot like some absolute hippy bullshit (half of me still thinks it probably is) but i remember a friend used this book a lot and said it was amazing. these people, rather spectacularly called "the book people", come into nursery and sell us books on the cheap. i am pretty sure it's legit. ANYWAY this book tells you all about foods which can positively affect your mood and health and everything else. it might be mumbo jumbo but it's somewhere to start right? viva la blueberries and pumpkin seeds.
my 16 year old self would be chuffed |
harking back to my post on how good ebay had got in the years i ignored it, i bid on a pair of shoes. thinking nothing of it, i got an email a few hours later somewhere along the lines of "well done you've only gone and fucking won haven't you?" and i had. so i paid the lovely little lady and (eventually) she sent me my shoes over. i know, i know, i'm about 3 years late to the blazer game but my converse are dire right now and i needed another staple pair of monochrome hi-tops. and these will do just fine.
enough already "what the fuck is that song?"
apparently, becky hill was on "the voice" at some point in the past? i couldn't tell you. all i could tell you is she's cashing in on the current "young white english girls with soulful voices working with up and coming amazing producers to create some of the best pop music around" hype. and it works in her favour because, of the two songs i've heard of hers, she's got a 100% success rate so far. it's very jessie ware/jess glynne/ella eyre: sparse and gloomy and electro and pensive. she also featured on that "gecko" track which went to #1 so a round of applause is due i think? this is "caution to the wind" and it's a bit 90s but also a bit wonderful. she also premiered "losing" today which is equally as good but i don't want to overload you with her stuff so if you like "cttw" then here's her new one. and if you don't then thanks for soldiering through this fucking abysmal collection of thoughts today. you're the best xo
