"what the fuck have you bought?"
fuck you/love you BITTERSWEET |
hopefully i'll look like her (yn) |
i spoke about my haircut a few days ago but failed to mention my crippling desire to have grey hair. it's been that way for a while now and after a wee consultation with cheryl (you babe), i went and bought some real life bleach. i'll be attacking my hair with this stuff tomorrow and it'll be my first proper experience with this real life bleach. yes, i'm terrified. but i bought silver shampoo to get rid of yellow/start a silver effect and then we can go from there. or it'll all fall out and i'll have to embrace the baldness i am oh so pathetically running from. either way, there'll be a shocking hair update tomorrow which you guys can look forward to laughing at. terrified.
i went to see two of my favourites tonight but i guess you want to know "what the fuck is that like?"
lovely. alice's flat is dreamy - it's cosy, it's homey, it's modern but more importantly it's very monochrome. we watched matilda and mean girls (that's your cue to watch them again. go on, don't fuck about. it's sunday and i bet you're hungover) then ate out own weight in pizza. it's like we were 18 again. but we're not. we're all real grown ups now. tonight instilled a lot of faith in me that, even though masses of things have changed, we've still remained friends and we've grown up together rather than up and apart. bliss.
working alongside nostalgia, we'll end with a speedy "what the fuck is that song?"
and it's "you left me" by the maine. i was speaking to my oldschool emo queen in the car on the way back and we both re-admitted our undying love for this band. "can't stop won't stop" is still a go to album for us, very 2008 in its approach to spunky emo pop rock. spunk pop? no, that should never be a thing. anyway, this is a personal favourite of mine because i remember being infatuated with the vocoder. ahhh to be 17 again xo
