MONDAY, HERE YOU ARE AGAIN YOU LITTLE BITCH. every cloud mitch, every cloud. i only have one more monday left in work until i'm free for christmas and new year!!!!!!!!!!! a week of freedom never looked so appealing. saying that, a work favourite of mine came back today bearing gifts. and my work cougar even bought me christmas presents! getting excited for the holidays. but that's then and this is now so what better way to kill time? that's right - shopping!
"what the fuck have you bought?"
looks like a fake nose |
on a charity shop hunt for some last minute christmas presents, i came across two very pleasing things. numero uno) another chuck palahniuk book. "rant" is seemingly about a serial killer who voluntarily infects himself with spider venom and rabies before taking charge of an insane group of individuals, setting up a car crash game and getting killed in the midst of it. the narrative comes from three "friends" that reveal everything about his twisted life. subtle. oh and numero deux) just LOOK at this fucking jumper. i paid nigh on £30 for something painfully similar (albeit grey with an eagle head) from urban outfitters so shelling out £6 for this purple beauty is fine by me.
now MUSIC "what the fuck is that song?"
unpopular opinion time: eliza doolittle is really good. yeah, she might not be one of the UK's biggest females right now and her questionable fashion choices don't really help (wait, what? she's a model) but boy can she sing. her second album was actually quite good and really showed her potential as an artist in comparison to her ultimately doo-woppy, samey and sort of overrated debut. her sophomore effort is full of real music: genius melodies, delicious hooks, big pop moments and thoughtful lyrics. songs like "waste of time" and "walking on water" have been criminally overlooked, whilst too much attention has been paid to the filler and fodder, not naming any names
