cutting it close, see tickets |
it's friday so i'm pleased it's "what the fuck are you so happy about?"
i went back to work today and spent the best part of my shift terrified that i was going to vomit into a toddler's soiled nappy but, thank the lord, that didn't happen. in fact, i ended up feeling alright come the end of it all. i returned home and ripped through the envelope addressed to me to find my kate boy ticket YES. they've featured on my blog previously because they're really good. i've not heard of them touring the UK before and the ticket was £7.50 which is a fucking steal nowadays. very excited about this one.
if that wasn't enough, my work wife approached my in the afternoon asking if i was busy in april. "why?" i pondered. "mcbusted have announced another tour" (i was aware but hadn't spared it much thought as last time i went with my dad which was, all jokes aside, really really good) "and my sister is bringing her friends so i wanted to invite you". so guess who i'm seeing again on april 10th? that's right muthafuckaz.
rather unsurprisingly then... "what the fuck is that song?"
HA I TRICKED YOU. it's the new selena gomez one which is apparently the lead/new single from a greatest hits album of some sort. frankly, i've not got a lot of time for this one. between my love for demi and miley, it's doesn't leave a lot of space for another ex-disney princess, and one who, it has to be said, is significantly less talented than the aforementioned starlets. this song is nice though: if you ignore the awkward chat at the start, it's sort of sad and sort of sweet and sort of amazing. yes, i'm aware she can't sing live and yes, i'm aware she probably even attempt to write this. but sometimes in pop, we have to throw our morals away and just enjoy a song for what it is: really quite good. well done, selly.
for the first time ever, we've got another "what the fuck is that song?"
oh, go on then xo
