we found wonderland, you and i got lost in it

goodbye money/identity/pride
day two of my time off work and i'm starting to go crazy. missing my colleagues a lot and i've even started missing those little pickles too. unbelievable. even though my social anxiety was sky high today, my cabin fever was too much to handle so i ventured out and about to get some shopping done after i had donated half of my wardrobe to charity. got some birthdays coming up and got a FANCY DRESS PARTY to attend so a real life shopping list was drawn up. did i follow it? did i buggery.

A WELCOME RETURN "what the fuck have you bought?"

£2.99! thanks hmv xo
right let's set the ground rules. if you've never watched how to train your dragon then go and do that now. it's okay, i'll wait. seriously, get off of this blog and buy/stream/download this film and then come back. right so we're all on the same page now. how good is this film?! i watched it aeons ago and remember it like it was yesterday. the second one is real now and i'm yet to see it which is criminal but maybe spending (not very many) english pounds sterling on this film sort of justifies it. cannot wait. big shout out to toothless.

that tan though, well done tay
i used to read wonderland because it was full of the stuff that i loved: celebrities, fashion, music, pretentious art, trendy things and other shallow stabs at cultural pieces. to be brutally honest and shallow, they changed their design a few times and it was really fucking ugly. it went from this to this and, i think we can all agree, they made a few mistakes along the way. regardless, our girl taylor is on the cover looking fresh as ever and there's a weird interview with willow smith so i'll get back to you and let you know what the fuck she's harping on about. (sidenote: she's cut her weave so no "whipping her hair" jokes please, thanks in advance)

the other things i bought are secrets (i.e presents) and so won't be featuring on the blog but because i've finished my book and haven't chosen another one since today was so rammed full of time consuming activities, i'll do a song because that's what we're all here for really, isn't it?

"what the fuck is that song?"

the rocket summer is a one man band sort of thing. bryce avary (what a man) plays all of the instruments on the records and handles every slither of production too. sounds like a big ask and, seeing as he's working on his sixth proper album (not mentioning countless EPs along the way), he deserves some more recognition. his early stuff is good, his middle stuff is fantastic and his later stuff is good too. he peaked around the "do you feel" era and so i'm taking my favourite song from that album and highlighting it here for you today. it's called "high life scenery" and it reminds me of being young. it's poppy, it's spunky, it's sort of rocky, it's melodic, it's catchy, it's just really fucking good. the amount of memories attached to, not just this song, but the rocket summer as an artist, is unbelievable. it doesn't matter what song it is, listening to it quite literally gives me all of the feels xo
