a gay man with a penchant for female singers? i know, quashing those stereotypes every day. but really, there's something which comes with women singing sad words that strikes a chord in me. always on the lookout for girl bands since the premature dissolution of girls aloud (moment to light a candle), i came across neon jungle a few months back.

they released a string of 'club bangers' which were, surprisingly, really quite good. they did reasonably well in the charts and their debut album, "welcome to the jungle" was released a few weeks back and reached the top 10. well done.

but "what the fuck is that song?" i hear you cry.

"louder" is their latest single and an absolute stormer at that. very rated r era rihanna aka very good. it shows a different side to the girls, who are essentially little mix with added balls, but the acoustic version is so tight and smooth. virtually flawless. no doubt written by a team of well paid middle aged men and autotuned to the heavens but let's turn a blind eye and enjoy a good pop song for what it is, eh?
